Information and data portal

The aim of the project is to reduce the time needed to find information serving for mutual communication between citizens and the authority. The goal can be achieved by building a central information and data portal.

The current regional websites are not suitable for the purposes of working with specific information produced by Liberec Region. They have a different, complex function and are aimed primarily at informing the general public about what is happening in the region. The region currently collects very specific types of information and data, e.g., on transport, the environment, regional projects, attractive places and events, etc. The data and information are managed by individual material guarantors of selected regional departments, publish them on various portals and in different formats and interpret them in different ways. Working with data and information is complicated due to the fragmentation of systems and formats, and open data is not systematically released.

The aim of the measure is to improve the accessibility of data and information about the region and the agendas associated with the regional authority.

Steps to be taken by Liberec Region

• Unification of data and information sources which have their relevance for the inhabitants of the region in one place

• Making data available in a form that corresponds to modern trends

• Active data management, interactivity with users, targeted acquisition of feedback and new stimuli
