Who will be speaking to you:

Miriam Janyšková

An expert in intellectual giftedness and the social-emotional intelligence of MiND children.

She has devoted her whole life to the topic of intellectual giftedness and the development of MiND children—as a gifted person herself, the mother of a MiND boy, and the founder and director of the Qiido Foundation. As part of its activities, she created a unique methodology for a systematic approach to identifying, educating, and providing comprehensive support for MiND children, which she has successfully implemented and tested in selected nursery and primary schools across the Czech Republic.

She has further developed her professional competencies through studies in positive psychology and aroma psychology, training in social-emotional intelligence, and a contemplative method of working with emotions inspired by Tibetan philosophy.

She has also completed YTT 200, Inner Engineering, and Bach flower remedy courses. She has long applied the knowledge she gained about the connection between thoughts, emotions, and the body in both her professional and personal life.

She currently focuses on individual work with MiND children and their parents—providing assessment, consultation, training, and lectures. Her goal is to understand the specific needs of each MiND child, support their natural potential, and help them find a path to a happy and successful life.

Alena Vávrová

A primary school teacher, has long been dedicated to working with gifted pupils and developing their talents in a mainstream school environment.

In her practice, she focuses on identifying talented children and working with logic tasks, ciphers, puzzles, and other activities that support creative and analytical thinking. At school, she organizes project weeks, mathematics competitions, and other activities that give children the opportunity to discover their own abilities and interests.

She also cooperates long-term with Mensa Czech Republic and is involved in promoting logic games and mathematical tasks among pupils. At the conference, she will present practical experience—how to identify talents at school, how to work with them, and how games, ciphers, and puzzles can be used to develop gifted children.

Mgr. Eva Dušková, DiS.

Graduate of the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University in Prague, balanced inclusion consultant

After the birth of her son, she became interested in education and support for gifted children and completed studies in educational sciences at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.

Working in Liberec as a teaching assistant, after-school educator, and teacher, she realized that one individual can achieve only so much, and she took the opportunity to help change things within the region-wide NAKAP project as a gifted education methodology specialist, where she cooperated with educational-psychological counseling centers and primary schools.

After the project ended, she was offered the opportunity to continue helping schools through the Smart Accelerator project of the Liberec Region and MAP Frýdlantsko, and she expanded her work beyond the region as a school mentor and balanced inclusion consultant.

She also cooperates with iQLANDIA Liberec on the unique concept of iQactivities and on the Future Career project focused on career guidance for secondary school students.

Organizers:

The seminar is organized by the Regional Development Agency in cooperation with the Liberec Region, using funding from the Smart Accelerator of the Liberec Region III project.
